About Maraska

Zadar has made Maraschino from Marasca cherries for centuries. Maraska was formed in the 1940s by merging the city's older liqueur houses, and it was bought by the Croatian Stanić Group in 2022. Maraschino is made by distilling fermented Marasca cherries, including their stones, then sweetening and ageing the spirit.

How to Enjoy Maraska

Maraschino is a cocktail ingredient in drinks such as the Aviation, the Last Word and the Hemingway daiquiri. Serve Kruškovac chilled over ice. Šljivovica is traditionally sipped neat in small glasses, with cured meats and cheese.
