About Paritua

Paritua's estate on Maraekakaho Road sits on gravelly, free-draining soils in the Bridge Pa Triangle, one of Hawke's Bay's best-known red wine areas. Most of the vineyard is planted in red varieties. The winery is best known for Bordeaux-style reds based on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, as well as Syrah.

How to Enjoy Paritua

Open these reds a little ahead of time and serve them just below room temperature. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Red Blend suit lamb, beef and hard cheeses, while the Syrah goes well with venison, pepper steak or barbecued meats.

Paritua FAQs

Where is Paritua wine made?

Paritua is made in the Bridge Pa Triangle, near Hastings in Hawke's Bay, on New Zealand's east coast. The vineyard takes its name from the Paritua Stream that runs through the property.

What does Hawke's Bay Syrah taste like?

Hawke's Bay Syrah is usually medium to full bodied with dark berry fruit, black pepper and spice, often less heavy than Australian Shiraz. It pairs well with lamb, venison and peppery dishes.

What is the Paritua Red Blend?

It is a Hawke's Bay red made from more than one grape variety, in the region's Bordeaux-style tradition. Check the product page for the exact grape mix and vintage before buying.
