Buy Bourbon RTDs Online in NZ
Bourbon and cola is one of the most familiar pre-mixed drinks in New Zealand. The shelf covers Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Woodstock, Tui, Barrel 51 and William Cody.
What Bourbon RTDs Taste Like
Bourbon is made from at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak, which gives it vanilla, caramel and toasted oak notes that sit naturally with cola. Some ranges add a twist, such as Woodstock Bourbon & Cola Vanilla. Zero sugar versions taste a little drier. If you prefer a different spirit, compare Whisky RTDs or Dark Rum RTDs, or return to all RTDs.
How to Choose a Bourbon RTD
Check the strength first: Jim Beam & Cola is 4.8%, while Jim Beam Gold & Cola is 7% in a smaller can. Then decide between regular and zero sugar cola, and between cans and bottles.
Bourbon RTD FAQs
Is Jack Daniel's & Cola a bourbon?
Jack Daniel's is a Tennessee whiskey rather than a bourbon, though the two are closely related. It is made in a similar way but filtered through sugar maple charcoal before ageing, and it tastes similar, so it sits with bourbon RTDs.
What is the difference between 4.8% and 7% bourbon RTDs?
A 7% bourbon RTD contains more alcohol per millilitre than a 4.8% one, so it has more standard drinks for the same size. Stronger versions often come in smaller 250ml cans. The standard drinks figure on each label is the clearest way to compare them.
How should I serve a bourbon and cola RTD?
Serve bourbon and cola well chilled, straight from the can or poured over ice in a highball glass. A wedge of lemon or lime adds a fresh edge. It goes well with barbecue food, burgers and smoky grilled meats.
