El Dorado 12YO 700ml is a Demerara rum from Guyana, produced by Demerara Distillers Ltd and labelled 12 Year Old. It is a blend of rums each aged at least 12 years, in casks that previously held American bourbon. Rum Attitude reports that the blend draws on three types of still, including a historic wooden still, and that wood distilled spirit is part of what gives Demerara rum its distinct aroma.
