Description
Glenfarclas Heritage 700ml is a no-age-statement Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, distilled and bottled by the family-owned Glenfarclas Distillery at Ballindalloch. It matures in former sherry casks, in line with the distillery’s long association with sherry wood.
John Grant bought Glenfarclas in 1865, and his descendants still own and run it. The distillery’s stills are among the largest on Speyside and are heated directly by gas burners, and the water comes from Ben Rinnes.

Serve it neat or with a splash of water to open up the cereal and fruit. It can also take ice or a dash of soda, and it goes well with oatcakes and cheddar or a plain sponge cake.

The nose is light and grainy, with barley, oats and a hint of peach. The palate is creamy and sweet with vanilla, hazelnut and a little oak, and the finish dries slowly with a touch of coffee.
