Glengoyne Highlands 21YO Single Malt Whisky (Gift Box) 700ml is a Highland single malt from Glengoyne Distillery, matured for 21 years in sherry casks and bottled at 43% ABV. It comes presented in a gift box.
Glengoyne was founded in 1833 at Dumgoyne, just north of Glasgow, and sits right on the Highland Line. The whisky is distilled on the Highland side of the road and matured in warehouses across it, in the Lowlands. The distillery uses unpeated barley dried by air rather than over peat smoke, and runs its stills slowly to give the spirit plenty of contact with copper, which helps keep it fruity and clean.

Two decades in sherry casks have a big influence on that light, fruity spirit. The result is a deep copper whisky with rich sherry, toffee and baking spice, while the unpeated spirit lets the fruit come through without smoke getting in the way.
Serve it neat in a nosing glass at room temperature and give it time to open, as older whiskies often need a few minutes in the glass. A few drops of water can lift the apple and honey notes.
