Louis Roederer Collection Gift Box 750ml is the multi-vintage Collection Champagne from Louis Roederer, supplied in a gift box. Collection is a numbered, non-vintage range that replaced the older Brut Premier, each edition counted from the founding of the house in 1776. Every edition builds on one base harvest, then adds wine from a perpetual reserve and a share of oak-aged reserve wine.

Yellow fruit such as nectarine and ripe lemon come first, with notes of almond and a touch of smoke. The palate is rich and juicy, balanced by a saline, chalky freshness, and the finish is long and slightly oaky.
The fruit is drawn from three parts of Champagne: La Rivière in the Vallée de la Marne, La Montagne in the Montagne de Reims and La Côte in the Côte des Blancs. The perpetual reserve was begun by the house in 2012, and it keeps a continuous thread of older wine running through each new edition. Since the exact mix depends on the harvest, the wine changes a little with every number.
Founded in 1776 as Dubois Père & Fils, the house took the Louis Roederer name in 1833 and is still run independently by the Rouzaud family from Reims. It owns about 240 hectares of vines, which supply roughly two-thirds of what it needs.
