Zacapa Solera Reserva 23 Rum 700ml is an aged Guatemalan rum sold as Ron Zacapa Centenario, made from virgin sugar cane honey as the label states, and not from molasses. The 23 belongs to the Sistema Solera used for this blend. It does not mean every drop is 23 years old, because the packaging describes hand selected rums aged between 6 and 23 years.

The Fat Rum Pirate notes brown sugar, caramel and toffee on the nose, with oak and cocoa arriving later. The palate turned out drier and oakier than that sweet nose suggests, with cocoa and a little tropical fruit.
