About Reid+Reid
The Reid brothers distil in Martinborough on copper pot stills. Their Native Gin uses three New Zealand native botanicals, kawakawa, mÄnuka and horopito, alongside classic gin botanicals. The red vermouth draws on Martinborough wine country for its base.
How to Enjoy Reid+Reid
Mix the Native Gin with tonic and a twist of grapefruit or lemon. The Zesty Lemon Gin suits soda water and lemon. For a negroni, stir equal parts Reid+Reid gin, red vermouth and bitter aperitivo over ice with an orange peel.
Reid+Reid FAQs
Where is Reid+Reid gin made?
Reid+Reid is made in Martinborough in the Wairarapa, at the brothers' own distillery. The business was started by Chris and Stew Reid, and all of its gins and aperitifs are made in New Zealand.
What botanicals are in Reid+Reid Native Gin?
Native Gin uses kawakawa, mÄnuka and horopito, three New Zealand native plants, with juniper and other classic gin botanicals. Horopito adds a peppery note and kawakawa a herbal, slightly minty one.
Can I make a negroni with Reid+Reid?
Yes. Reid+Reid makes a gin, a red vermouth and a bitter aperitivo, the three parts of a negroni. Stir equal measures over ice and garnish with orange peel.
