Description
Ancnoc 12YO 700ml is a 12-year-old Highland single malt Scotch whisky made at Knockdhu Distillery in Knock, Banffshire, and sold under the brand spelling anCnoc. The name is Gaelic for the hill.
The distillery was established in 1894, and the whisky was renamed anCnoc in 1994 to avoid confusion with Knockando, which has a similar-sounding name. This bottling is a gentle, unpeated malt.

Try it neat or with a few drops of water to lift the citrus and honey. It is light enough to serve lightly chilled over one ice cube, and it goes well with shellfish, a soft cheese or a lemon dessert.
- Knockdhu Distillery, Knock, Banffshire
- Labelled as Highland single malt
- Aged 12 years, bottled at 40% ABV
Honey and lemon lead on a soft, aromatic nose. The palate starts sweet with a clean fruitiness, and the long finish adds gentle oak spice.
A good fit for someone who prefers a lighter malt with no smoke, or who is moving on from blended Scotch.
