Description
Lake Chalice Plume Methode Traditionnelle 750ml is a non-vintage traditional-method sparkling wine from Lake Chalice in Marlborough, New Zealand, blended from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Plume is the winery’s most ambitious range, first launched with a Chardonnay, and this Brut style was hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed.

Serve at 8 to 10 degrees in a tulip or flute. Oysters and scallops suit it well, as does pumpkin gnocchi or a sweet pea and lemon risotto.
- Traditional method, Brut, Marlborough
- Chardonnay and Pinot Noir
- Hand-harvested, whole-bunch pressed
Fresh bread, almond biscuit, apple and a hint of citrus lead the aromas. The palate shows apple, biscuit and ripe melon with a chalky mineral line, and the finish is clean.
The native kārearea falcon appears on each Lake Chalice bottle, a nod to the winery’s Marlborough home. The winery supports the Marlborough Falcon Conservation Trust, and it is certified through Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand.
A thoughtful choice for those who enjoy trying New Zealand traditional-method wines at the table.
